Hi Brad,

I have the following suggestions for the QS analyzer:

- also include the account column, as I would like to analyze multiple
accounts at once and would like to be able to filter on account in the
    downloaded file

- also show the average QS on account level, simply based on impressions

- use the Excel csv format (I think it’s separated by ; instead of ,) for the
downloadable file. When I open the current file, Excel doesn’t recognize the
columns and I have to manually do this.

These enhancements would make the tool even a greater time
    saver!

The account and overall QS is a good idea; I’ll add it to the proposed
    feature list.

The excel one confuses me. I’ve tested these downloads in Excel, and a few
other spreadsheet programs and they open just fine for me.

As they are .xls files; Excel should open them in the correct columns without
the need for any additional formatting.

I’ve not tested this in Excel 2010 yet; only Excel 2003 and 2007. What
version of Excel are you using and what OS?

Also, what error message (or import message, etc) are you seeing when these
    docs are opened in Excel?

Hopefully, we can get the formatting issue solved quickly as that’s not
something you should have to do (that burden should be on our
    tool).

Hi Brad,

I found out why the columns weren’t recognized automatically in Excel. As I
live in the Netherlands, I have a Dutch Windows with Dutch language &
    notation settings.

When I change these settings to English (US) the file loads perfectly into
Excel. I guess this would be an issue for most European users. Any idea if this
can be fixed to work around the globe ;-) ?

Interesting. Two questions:

1. When you run an AdWords report, does it use a comma or period to delineate
    currency and numbers?
    2. When you use the AdWords editor; do you need to
input currency into 1.xx or 1,xx format?

I’m wondering if there’s a comma separation going on in the file background
and since European languages use a different separator notation than the US if
    that’s causing an issue.

Hi Brad,

I set my AdWords interface to US English, so the reports I upload are in US
    notation.

However, the columns in the downloadable file Certified Knowledge provides
only get recognized by Excel when I change my Windows to US English.

Maybe you could replicate the problem by testing it on a European Windows
computer? Or maybe changing your system language and notation to a European
language (how’s your French/Spanish? ;-) . If you use Windows 7 this can be
easily done by downloading a language pack from Windows
    Update.

And just to check, when you open a report you created in AdWords that uses US
currency your Excel file opens normally?

If you use any of the other tools – do you get the same error on the output
(you can use the keyword mixer in just a few seconds to test this)?

Just want to see if this is tool specific or part of our Excel/CSV output
package that needs to be updated everywhere.

I’ll also check this on a different computer next week that has 7 installed
    to replicate some errors.

Thanks for the clarification.
