Facebook made a huge update a few months ago by moving companies to the ‘Timeline’ view instead of the old page view. This caused the tabs (sidebar navigation) to be less visible on the company’s main page as well as made the tabs themselves look like ‘one page wonder sites’ instead of an integrated page with full navigation.
When this change happened, I saw many Facebook accounts who were using a tab based landing page strategy tank. Not every company took a dive; but many did. Those who were sending traffic offsite didn’t see any change in their metrics.
Facebook has also added new options to their ads, such as the ability to like a company without even clicking on the ad and visiting your site.
If you’re not sure what to do with your Facebook landing pages and goals, then listen to the upcoming Marketing Nirvana show with Lisa Raehsler.
Lisa is the founder of Big Click Co, a PPC management company. She’s also a frequent conference speaker, a regular twitterer, and blogger. I’ve known Lisa for a number of years, and she’s always willing to try something new for her clients – which is nice – she doesn’t get stuck in doing the same processes over and over without a way to bring something new to her clients.
In this episode, we’ll cover:
- Facebook marketing goals
- Facebook landing pages
- Facebook ads
- Additional Facebook tips
